The JamBuddy mobile app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app's real-time chord recognition, advanced tuning capabilities, metronome, and song library operate entirely locally on your device.

The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics including:

• App opens and session duration
• Screen views and feature usage (which tools you use most)
• Device type, OS version, and app version
• General location data (country/region level only)

This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally. It helps us understand which features are most valuable and where to focus development efforts. No audio data, song content, or practice sessions are ever transmitted.

Website

Our website (jambuddy.live) uses Google Analytics to understand visitor behavior and improve the site experience. This collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referral source (how you found our site)
• Device type, browser, and screen resolution
• Anonymous IP address (anonymized to protect your privacy)

Google Analytics uses cookies to track these metrics. You can opt out by using browser extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out or adjusting your browser's privacy settings.

2. Why We Don’t Collect Data

Privacy reduces cognitive friction. JamBuddy works fully disconnected: chord recognition, tuning, metronome, and song handling stay sandboxed locally. There's nothing to upload, sync, or monetize.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

We do not use advertising networks, crash reporters that collect personal data, or any services that sell your information to third parties.

4. Data Security

Your music data stays on your device. Audio processing, chord recognition, and tuning happen entirely locally—no audio ever leaves your device.

The anonymous analytics data we collect is transmitted securely over HTTPS and stored by Google (Firebase/Google Analytics) in compliance with their security standards. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is retained for a limited time as specified by Google's data retention policies.

5. Children’s Privacy

JamBuddy is appropriate for all ages. With no accounts or collection, there is no storage or transmission of data from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If data collection is ever considered, it will require a clear opt‑in, a revised policy, and an in‑app notice before any change takes effect.
