JamBuddy is a focused, distraction-free practice companion that helps musicians listen, learn, and play music faster. Real-time chord detection powered by neural network pitch detection, seven visualization modes, and organized song management—all working 100% offline with complete privacy.
Why I Built JamBuddy
I started learning songs the slow, frustrating way—pausing videos, guessing chords, scribbling messy progressions, and losing momentum. Existing apps either locked features behind subscriptions, harvested data, or buried the core tools under clutter.
So I built what I wished existed: a fast, offline, no‑nonsense environment that helps you identify chords as you listen, internalize rhythm visually, loop tricky parts, and log ideas the moment they hit.
JamBuddy is still evolving weekly. Every refinement is guided by a simple question: Does this help someone learn or teach music faster with less friction?
The Goal
Remove friction between hearing something inspiring and turning it into music you can play or teach. JamBuddy should feel like a minimal, powerful instrument—not a gamified platform competing for attention.
